The project "Accelerating synthetic biology for sustainable 1,5-diaminopentane production through nanofabricated high-throughput assay" led by Dr. Seo has been awarded the 2025 EPSCoR Seed Fund by Iowa State University (https://chemurgy.vpresearch.iastate.edu/).
This project aims to accelerate synthetic biology by developing a prototype nanofabricated 1,5-diaminopentane sensor and high-throughput screening method using the sensor. This is a small but significant step towards accelerating design-build-test-learn cycle of synthetic biology. Co-PIs are Dr. Toor (UI, Electrical and Computer Engineering) and Dr. Williams (UI, Chemistry).
Congratulations!
