Ella Gilbert is an undergraduate student in the chemical and biochemical engineering department, currently in her second year. She is interested in microbial design for sustainability and how engineered microbes can be used to create biomaterials and biofuels. She looks forward to exploring how synthetic biology can address real-world challenges.
